Are always hectic
Aaaah, yet another first day of school!
These things are always hectic for this family. I'll imagine that it has something to do with the fact that we've got four kiddos that need to be up and ready, eat something, take care of all the other morning routines and get dropped off at two or three different buildings. Well, we'll go with two buildings, seeing as one of the kiddos generally walks.
Toss in a decently large - up-to-my-knee height is tall, since I'm over 6'2" I guess - sheepadoodle who likes to get underfoot while we're doing the kitchen dance to get work lunches and breakfasts together in a small area…yeah, it's fun!
By now, it's nearly 10am.
Everybody is out.
The house is quiet.
Mostly, I do have my podcasts going.
The dog is chilling. The cat? Who knows what the cat does.
We do still need to get some scheduling issues sorted out for the kids. The twins had taken health/PE during the Summer session and wound up in a Health class for second semester. The counselor has stated that should be taken care of soon, though.
The middle school kid didn't get band, which is odd, considering he had band last year and had it selected as priority for this year.
It's always something, but with the number of students that the schools have to deal with, I'm surprised that's it.
Today is going to be a busy day, even without the kids for half the day. Lots of stuff going on at work - good times.
